Can I Repair A Leak In A Shurflo 5900-0211

Topic: Where to Buy Replacement SureFlo Pump
Posted By: mclee47 on 04/23/xiii 01:50pm The 12v h2o pump on my Itasca Suncruiser stopped working. I checked the fuse, and it was intact. So I removed it and connected it to a 12V supply, and information technology did nix. So looks like information technology has bitten the dust.

I need to buy a replacement, and I'm not having much luck with Internet searches. The model is Shurflo smart sensor five.7, model no. 5900-0201.

Tin anyone advise a source for a replacement?

Were the issues with the Smart Sensor 5.vii ever stock-still? Would I exist throwing my coin away by replacing the Smart Sensor with a indistinguishable?

I see that the Revolution delivers 4 GPM compared to 5.seven GPM for the Smart Sensor. Is that a problem normally? Also does the Revolution has the aforementioned mounting screw blueprint as the Smart Sensor?

Posted Past: Randu on 04/23/13 05:22pm I camp in many electrical only sites and hated the way that water was wasted as mine would gush and so trickle and so gush every time I opened a faucet. Took a minute to stabilize at a consequent menstruation. Information technology kept going dead and and so I could kill power for 30 seconds and information technology would restart. This was a interment trouble that got worse until it just died. This was two years ago and I recall a few other postings which was where "Pump had many issues" argument (stance) came from. A practiced abiding flow pump with less GPM worked much better for my apply. I call back the base was very close simply since I pulled the pump, I too remounted on a slice of rubber and added a accumulator tank. Randu
Posted By: j-d on 04/23/xiii 05:34pm If the gushing and quick on/off cycles carp you, yous can add a 2-gallow (fifty-fifty smaller if you tin't find room for two-gal) Pressure Tank, similar those used on wells. Besides used to cushion "water hammer" in houses when somebody slaps a fauced from total to off.

Posted By: Gjac on 04/23/13 05:47pm My Sure flow pump was 16 years old when I replaced it. I retrieve information technology was a model 2088 with 2.viii gpm. It was $68 from Amazon with free shipping. I figured if the fist one lasted sixteen years and the newer ones seemed to not last every bit long I would simply stay with the older blueprint.

Posted By: greenrvgreen on 04/24/13 10:03am There is a build engagement stamped on the label of your ShurFlo. If it is less than 2 years from that appointment you tin get a gratuitous replacement. Mayhap even less than three years.

ShurFlo will give a v.7 as a replacement if the client insists, but they are trying to migrate to the four.0 Revolution. I got the Rev four and it is a MUCH better pump than the five.seven. You volition not be disappointed.

If y'all're not eligible for a warrantee pump, then try Amazon. I bought the slower Revolution (3.0?) there as a backup/transfer pump, and it was the ceapest effectually, even versus PPL, which is good.

Posted By: Ready2gonow on 04/24/13 xi:23am I too am in need today of a new pump. I have the same pump, and it abruptly failed. I called shurflo. 1, it has a one year warranty, mine is three years quondam. Two, the tech said it was NOT supposed to have an accumulator, mine does and 3, he suggested the model 4048-153-e75 to supercede it. Does all this sound right to y'all all? Volition it simply fit where the erstwhile one is, but hook upward supply lines already there and two wires with the fuse on ruby. No accumulator is needed, so only unhook it? has anyone replaced theirs with this model...almost $200. or is the revolution an choice?..sorry for request more questions and not giving any advise, but constitute this thread started already. thanks
Posted By: Mike and Pat on 04/24/13 11:39am The 5.7 was having problems and they never did get information technology stock-still so they stopped producing it. I replaced mine last November with the new revolution 4.0 and it did not have the pressure level that my married woman wanted so I found a place online that had ii in stock and I bought them both. It is worth the money to go on the wife happy. My last one lasted iii years before information technology started leaking.

Yes the scre blueprint is the same for the 5.7 and the iv.0 they are easily inverse out. I am keeping the 4.0 for a spare.

I got the same information from Shurflo, and I ordered the new pump from Trailer Parts Superstore for $144 plus $16 shipping, which is about $6 less than Amazon with shipping. The Shurflo rep told me that the pigsty spacings are the same, and I saw a mail service on another forum that said the same. So here's hoping.
